The hour’s not so ponderous when
you will consider the long
list of this world’s injurious
short-comings — all the
wicked unfoldings
hatched upon our
blue revolving in-
cubator.
However —
When placed upon the calendar
of a human life,
your handful of furtive dates
seem weighty, indeed.
Here is my counsel:
make haste:
the wings of
human forbearance
tire quickly.
Not for your soul (for that
was arranged
in advance), but
for your family improve
the schedule of your life.
